My MA Dissertation is Now Available!I'm thrilled to announce that my Master's dissertation in TESOL is now publicly available on Research Gate: https://lnkd.in/dMdDaFnn. This project represents years of hard work, research, and dedication, and I'm honored to be able to share it with the academic community. The dissertation is titled "School English Teachers’ Attitudes Towards Professional Development and Implications for Practice in the Saudi Arabian Context". This work contributes to the growing body of knowledge on the importance of professional development for English language teachers and I hope it will be a valuable resource for others working in this area.I'm incredibly grateful to my advisors at the University of Sunderland for their guidance and support throughout this process. Their expertise and mentorship were invaluable in shaping this project. Thank you all for your encouragement and support - I couldn't have done this without you!If you're interested in reading more, please feel free to access the full text on Research Gate. I welcome any feedback or questions you may have. Best of luck,Elsaid Rashad

Exciting day at King Saud University! 🎉 I had the privilege of participating in their Research Day Event with the English Language Skills Department (ELSD). Shared my MA dissertation on "English Teachers' Attitudes towards Professional Development" through a poster presentation. Also delivered a workshop on "Teaching Receptive Skills in the EFL Classroom." Great opportunity to connect with the academic community and showcase my research. ————Update:Poster:https://lnkd.in/d66KzV_AWorkshop:https://lnkd.in/dqQQUwwG——————#AcademicLife #EduResearch #LanguageTeaching

🌍📚 Teaching language systems—grammar, vocabulary, functional language, and pronunciation—can be effectively structured using various frameworks: PPP (Presentation, Practice, Production) for a step-by-step approach, Text-based Presentation for contextual learning, TTT (Test-Teach-Test) for targeted instruction based on initial assessment, and TBL (Task-Based Learning) for practical, task-oriented practice. Each framework offers unique advantages, so choose the one that best fits your teaching goals and student needs. 🌟 #LanguageTeaching #ESL #TeachingFrameworks #Education

📝 For ESL students, understanding the two primary writing approaches can significantly improve their skills. The Product Approach involves mimicking a model text, which helps in mastering grammar, vocabulary, and structure through imitation. On the other hand, the Process Approach focuses on drafting and revising, allowing you to explore ideas and improve fluency through continuous refinement. Combining both methods can lead to the best results, helping you become a more effective and confident writer. Keep practicing and enjoy the journey! ✍️ #ESL #WritingTips #ProductApproach #ProcessApproach #LanguageLearning

Developing receptive skills, such as listening and reading, is essential in language education. By honing sub-skills like phonemic awareness, lexical knowledge, and comprehension for listening, alongside decoding, scanning, and skimming for reading, educators can enhance learners' overall language proficiency. Through targeted activities and strategies, we can empower students to become effective communicators in a global context. #LanguageTeaching #ReceptiveSkills #Listening #Reading #Education #LanguageLearning
