Who were the two people at the end of Shazam Fury of the Gods? ›

Fury of the Gods has two end-credits scenes. In the mid-credits scene, we see Peacemaker's Agent Emilia Harcourt and John Economos walking at an unknown location to find a new recruit.

Fury of the Gods did not fair as well with a 51% score on Rotten Tomatoes and a below expected opening weekend total of $30 million that could leave the $125 million film significantly in the red.

But Fury of the Gods (now streaming on Max) also features another key DC figure: Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman, who makes a surprise cameo near the end of the film.

There are two post-credit scenes in Shazam 2: Fury of Gods, one in the middle and one at the end, both of which offer glimpses into future Shazam movies and the direction of the DC Extended Universe. As genuine post-credit scenes, it is highly recommended to stay in the theater to catch them.

The character appears as a deus ex machina toward the end of the film, as Wonder Woman arrives on the scene to resurrect Billy Batson/Shazam from death as she is the only person left with godly powers to do so.

The final end-credits scene calls back to the post-credit promises of the first film, which featured Doctor Sivana (Mark Strong) conspiring for revenge in his jail cell with an unlikely visitor — Mister Mind, a supervillain worm with a robotic voice who's a major Shazam! foe from the comics.

A cameo crossover

Jennifer Holland and Steve Agee reprise their Peacemaker roles as agents Emilia Harcourt and John Economos, and they've come on behalf of Amanda Waller (Viola Davis) to recruit Levi's Billy for the Justice Society.

Thaddeus Sivana (Mark Strong), the villain of the 2019 “Shazam! ' movie, is still in the same prison cell as he was in the last film's end-credit scene, and Sivana is visited again by super-smart wormy supervillain Mister Mind.

The lineup consisted of seasoned heroes such as Sentinel, the Flash, Wonder Woman and Wildcat, but also included younger legacy heroes such as Starman (Jack Knight), Nuklon (now calling himself Atom Smasher), the Hourman android, a new Hawkgirl and a new Star-Spangled Kid.

Through this trial, Billy learns what it means to be a hero, a god even. At the end of the film, he makes the ultimate sacrifice to protect the world and is rewarded with a happy ending as Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot in a brief cameo) resurrects him and reunites him with his loving family.
