How do you get more spider eggs as Webber? ›

Travel around the map collecting them. After you have enough for an alchemy engine and science machine, travel the map looking for as many spider dens as you can. Once you find the number you want place a science machine near a group of dens and place your den.

Disposing of spider egg sacs is much like cleaning away spider webs. The easiest method is with a vacuum cleaner hose. Simply suck up the egg sac, and then throw away the vacuum bag into an outside trash container. If you do not have a vacuum and hose, or the hose or it is not long enough, you can use a broom.

Female spiders create a bed of silk for the eggs, then cover them in a silk blanket then wrap both in more silk to create the egg sac. She then guards this “bedroom” until they hatch. Spider eggs take up to 3 weeks to hatch and when they do, the babies will settle nearby before venturing further.

The option that many keepers use is a deli cup. To prepare it, make a small hole in the side, then cover with duct tape. After she lays the eggs, the mother will guard them at least until they hatch and sometimes longer. During this time she often will cease eating and drinking.

For non-venomous spiders, you can swat them with a fly swatter and collect their egg sac using a medium-sized plastic bag. Use the said bag and put it in your hand as you slowly grab the spider sac. Cling the sac lightly and carefully to avoid squishing it and forcing the spiderlings out.

Wear some gardening gloves. Get a container with a lid and gently chase the mother inside. Then VERY gently gather the egg sac (just look at it and you should see the best way to do this). Put the egg sac where you want the spider to be and release her there.
